Australia's Group of Twenty (G20) sherpa, Dr Heather Smith, will be delivering a public lecture in Singapore at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy on May 20.

As G20 sherpa, Dr Smith is the special representative of the Prime Minister, charged with overseeing summit preparations and chairing sherpa meetings.

Now almost six months into the G20 presidency, Dr Smith will present an update on progress to date in preparing the agenda for the Brisbane summit, which will take place in November.

After assuming the G20 presidency, Australia invited Singapore and New Zealand to attend the leaders' summit.
