INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS

The Australian High Commission will establish a Selection Advisory Committee (SAC) to assess applications, conduct interviews, check referees reports and prepare a report for the delegate recommending the most suitable applicant.

Applicants are advised to pay close attention to the duty statement and selection criteria when preparing their application.

Based on the information provided in the applications, the SAC will shortlist applicants for interview.

Applications should include:
* a one page summary of personal details, including nationality and residency/employment status in Singapore 
• a one page summary of employment history, addressing the duties outlined in the duty statement
• contact details of two referees

Applications may be submitted by post or by email.

Postal applications should be marked 'Staff-in-Confidence' and addressed to:

Applications must be received at the High Commission by 4.30 pm on closing date. Late applications may not be considered.

The selection process usually takes several weeks and all applicants will be advised of the final outcome.

If another similar position becomes vacant within the next 9-12 months, the high commission may consider for employment an applicant who rated highly for this position.
