Can I apply for priority processing?

No, priority processing service is not available in Singapore. Priority processing is only available in Australia.

Can I renew my passport before it expires?

Yes, you can renew your passport at any time.

Can I submit my application by mail?

No, all applications must be made in person at the Australian High Commission in Singapore.

My Passport visa pages are full, but it hasn't expired. What do I do?

You can apply for either a new 10 year validity passport, or a replacement passport that has the same validity as your current full passport (as long as you have at least two years’ validity remaining).

The replacement passport will have a different passport number and any visa or travel cards (such as APEC) attached to the passport will have to be updated by the holder.

To maintain the security of our passports, we do not insert additional blank pages into an existing passport.

Can I have extra pages added to my Australian passport?

No. To maintain the security of our passports, we do not insert additional blank pages into an existing passport.

When your current passport has run out of visa pages, you must apply for a new passport.

Can I authorise someone to lodge the application on my behalf?

No, all applications for adult passports must be lodged in person by the applicant.

In the case of minors (under 16) one person with parental responsibility for the minor must lodge the passport application. For minors over 16 years of age, they must be present to lodge the application and must attend with one person with parental responsibility for the minor.

Do I have to lodge in person?

Yes. Adults (and child over 16) must apply in person at the Australian High Commission in Singapore. Child applications (under 16) must be lodged in person by one person with parental responsibility for the minor. It does not matter whether the lodging parent is Australian.

Do I have to make an appointment to attend a passport interview?

Yes. Passport interviews are conducted at the Australian High Commission in Singapore between 8:30am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding some Singaporean and Australian Public Holidays.
