RSVP Australia extends a warm invitation to visit Australia in 2007
SINGAPORE, 9 March 2007 - RSVP Australia invites Singapore to experience the best of Australian style, arts, education, food and wine from 9 to 18 March. The 10-day event, showcasing the diversity of Australian culture, has been launched today at Raffles City Shopping Centre.
Organised by the Australian High Commission, Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and Tourism Australia, RSVP Australia features four main events: kicking off today with Australian City and Coastal Lifestyle at Raffles City and the Westpac Arts Festival, followed by the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival from 16-18 March and the Study in Australia education fair, from 17-18 March at Suntec Singapore.
“This year’s Australian lifestyle and culture festival, RSVP Australia, promises to be bigger and better than ever, and truly offers something for everyone,” says HE Mr Miles Kupa, Australia’s High Commissioner to Singapore.
“We have focussed on some aspects of Australia that we are most renowned for – our beautiful beaches and cosmopolitan city centres, our terrific food and wine, and contemporary fashion and design - as well as some new and exciting areas, including children’s theatre, textile design, indigenous art, and even hand blown glassware.”

Although many Singaporeans are familiar with the destination, through RSVP Australia, we hope to give you a preview of some of the many things that are new to discover in Australia,” says Ms Maggie White, Tourism Australia’s General Manager, South, Southeast Asia and the Gulf Countries.
“As for those who have not had the opportunity to visit Australia, we invite you to have a taste of what Australia has to offer, right at your doorstep, and invite you to make Australia your next holiday destination,” adds White.
