Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott signed a condolence book for Singapore’s first Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew at the Singapore High Commission in Canberra on 24th March afternoon.
In his message, Mr Abbott stated that Australia has lost a friend and Singapore has lost its founder.
The House of Representatives of the Australian Parliament observed a minute of silence for Mr Lee Kuan Yew yesterday (24 March) afternoon.
Prime Minister Abbott will travel to Singapore to join other national leaders at the funeral of Mr Lee Kuan Yew on Sunday.
