Australia and Singapore sign historic Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
Australia and Singapore have entered into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Prime Ministers Lee Hsien Loong and the Hon Tony Abbott signing an historic agreement to deepen economic, defence and people-to-people ties.
The CSP builds on a successful legacy of 50 years of bilateral relations. It boosts an already strong friendship and, in the words of Prime Minister Lee, “marks an exciting new chapter for us and sets the course for our relationship for the future.”
"Our two peoples will walk arm in arm into a brighter future," said Prime Minister Abbott at a signing ceremony at the Istana.
