The Australian National University, 25th in the world and best in Australia

The Australian National University has been ranked 25th in QS World University Rankings 2014 and thereby unquestionably becoming the highest ranked university in Australia.
The results were based on four broad criteria: research, teaching, employability and international outlook.
The Australian National University achieved a total score of 89.70 and shares the position with Duke University of United States.
Seven other Australian universities were also featured in the top 100 list.
The University of Melbourne (33rd position)
The University of Sydney (37th position)
The University of Queensland (43rd position)
The University of New South Wales (48th position)
Monash University (70th position)
The University of Western Australia (89th position)
The University of Adelaide (100th position)
The first position is retained by Massachusetts Institute of Technology of United States for the second consecutive year with a perfect score of 100.
