New Dean for Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine

Respected Australian medical leader Professor James Best has been appointed as the new dean for NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Professor Best, who is currently the Head of Medical School at the University of Melbourne in Australia, will commence his new post on 29 July 2014. He has 30 years of vast experience in research, teaching and medical leadership.

Professor Best is taking over from Professor Dermot Kelleher, who has been the dean of both Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Imperial’s Faculty of Medicine for the last two years.
