Celebrating female voices through visual art

Celebrating female voices through visual art

Thursday 28 March 2013

The gallerists and artists are presented to guests at the reception in the Atrium Gallery

As part of International Women's Day activities, the Australian High Commission, in conjunction with Art Equity and Australasian Arts Projects, is hosting 'GROUNDED', an exhibition celebrating females voices through visual art.

GROUNDED includes paintings, prints and sculptures by exceptionally talented young female Australian artists Belinda Fox, Camie Lyons, Melanie McCollin-Walker and Melinda Schawel, amongst others.

Another interesting element of GROUNDED is the collaboration between two Singapore-based female gallerists, Anna Layard (Art Equity) and Gabrielle Cummins (Australasian Arts Projects).

The reception was held on 21 March, and the exhibition runs through until April 5 in the High Commission's Atrium Gallery at 25 Napier Road.
