About 'Africa Down Under in Singapore'
Africa Down Under in Singapore offers mining companies and investors a new forum to meet and discuss investment opportunities in one of the world’s leading wealth management centres.
The event was borne out of the highly successful and long-established Africa Down Under conference held each year in Perth, Western Australia.
The Australian mining industry’s engagement in Africa is now enduring, strong and successful. Current and prospective investment in Africa by Australian resources companies is estimated at $AUD50 billion. More than 150 ASX listed mining and exploration companies (with a collective market capitalisation of over $AUD260 billion) have assets on the ground in Africa, with over 650 projects running across 42 countries.
The aim of the event is to introduce leading Australian mining companies with projects in Africa to investors who are developing a growing interest in opportunities on the African continent. Attendees will gain an appreciation of the scale of Australian mining in Africa, and the opportunities that exist to get more exposure to natural resources - with the corporate governance assurances that Australian management and listing on the ASX provides.
The Australian companies featured are among the industry leaders in this sector and offer both a geographic and commodity spread with gold, iron ore, copper, coal and uranium projects all featured. The programme also covers a variety of companies, from established producers with robust revenue streams and strong histories of returns, to emerging companies with some of the most exciting undeveloped projects in Africa.
